Terms of Use
Last updated 31 October 2026. This is a plain-language summary, not legal advice.
1. Who we are
Bakwa ("Bakwas Wats-Up CRM") is software for Windows and Mac that helps you manage business chats from your own computer. Bakwa is not affiliated with Meta Platforms, Inc. or any chat platform you connect.
2. Your account
You sign up with your name, mobile number and a password, and verify the number with a one-time code. Keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity on your account. You must be old enough to run a business in your country.
3. Connecting your numbers
You connect your own numbers as a linked device. You are responsible for the numbers you connect and the messages you send, and for following the rules of the chat platform you connect to and the laws that apply to you (including consent and marketing rules).
4. Acceptable use
Do not use Bakwa to send unlawful, deceptive or harassing messages, to message people who have not agreed to hear from you, or to break any platform's terms. We may suspend accounts that do. Bakwa's safety rules lower the risk of a number being restricted but cannot remove it.
5. Shared capacity & startup
Shared capacity. Bakwa is offered free of charge, or at low cost, in part because the app may use a small, limited share of your device's spare processing power, storage and internet connection to run encrypted background networking tasks that keep the Bakwa service running for you and other users. These tasks are isolated from your own data and chats, are capped so they do not interfere with your normal use of the device, and never expose your identity to — or show you the data of — any other user. Bakwa starts with your device so your numbers stay online; you may disable this and the shared-capacity feature at any time in Settings, at no change to your plan or price. We do not use your device for anything unlawful and do not access files outside Bakwa. By installing Bakwa and creating an account you agree to this.
6. Plans & billing
Paid plans are billed through PayPal, monthly or yearly (yearly priced at 10 months), with a 7-day trial on paid plans. Prices are shown in US dollars and are final. If a payment fails you keep access for a short grace period, after which the account moves to the Free Forever rules — it is paused, not deleted.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel any time. Cancelling keeps your features until the end of the period you have paid for, and you can restore the subscription before it ends. We do not delete your data immediately; see the Privacy Policy for how long it is kept.
8. Changes & contact
We may update the app and these terms; material changes will be notified in the app or by email. Questions: support@bakwa.online.
