Anti-Ban Best Practices
Wats-Up Tips · 4 min read
Any bulk messaging on a chat platform carries some risk. These rules lower it as far as a linked device can — and Bakwa enforces them, so you don't have to remember.
- Warm up new numbers — 2 weeks of normal chat, 5 new chats a day rising weekly to 30; max 40 even for old numbers.
- Separate roles — Transactional (bills, OTPs), Marketing, Support. Campaigns never run from a Transactional number.
- Human pacing — random gaps, rests, typing indicator, business hours only, quiet hours at night.
- Vary the message — A/B/C versions, variables, small natural changes; images re-encoded so no two files are identical.
- Consent first — check numbers before sending, no links in a first message, "Reply STOP" honoured and remembered, never more than one unsolicited message per person per day.
- Watch the health score — below 40 campaigns pause; below 20 only essentials send; a restriction halts the number instantly and brings it back at half speed after 14 days.
- Message people who know you — past buyers first, cold lists last and small.
- Look like a business — profile photo and description set, replies answered, incoming messages read.
Honest note: for thousands of messages a week the platform's official business API is the only fully safe route. Bakwa's rules reduce the risk; they cannot remove it.
